Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of building materials. We are recruiting for the newly opened IT Service Center in Katowice.
Your new role
As an Application Support Specialist you will be working in an international team on improving solutions and resolving issues as second level support across all logistics oriented business processes and across all related business functions in the company’s group.
Responsibilities:
- Perform:
1) 2nd level support
2) Incident reporting and analysis
- Collaborate and communicate with Application Specialist for technical improvement opportunities
- Investigate, resolve and / or escalate tickets reported to the 2nd level
- Resolve if possible and in line with internal procedures and personal authorization level
- Achieve a high 2nd level resolution rate w/ adequate documentation
- Act as ticket owner and maintain high quality communication with the business
- Comply w/ procedures, segregation of duties and service levels
- Contribute to knowledge management
- Contribute in Standard Change list updates
- Perform Standard Changes in the system
- Participate in Handover projects from other regions / Teams
- Perform other activities provided by your team Lead
What you'll need to succeed
Requirements:
- University degree in IT or Engineering
- 2+ years of experience as SAP SD Key User or SAP SD Application Support Specialist or similar
- Fluency in English
SAP SD related experience:
1) First knowhow in configuration of the SAP modules SD / LE.
2) Solid Experience in sales processes: Master Data in Sales, Sales processing, Shipping, Transportation Management (Change Lifecycle), Freight Management, Billing, Pricing and Bonus, Credit Management
3) Basic understanding of SAP infrastructure and SAP development workbench.
4) Reading and debugging of ABAP and ABAP/OO programs
5) Understanding of integrative SAP processes and interfaces to the neighbour modules PP, MM, FI, CO
6) Safe handling of Microsoft Office products
Optional skills:
- Expertise in the sales aspects of configurable materials.
- Hands-on experience in the implementation of SAP QM and MM.
- Knowhow of foreign trade processes by SAP GTS
- Market experience in construction supplier industry
SAP EDI/PI related experience:
- Knowledge of IT services related to:
SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 or higher
- IB objects configuration including adapter types IDoc, File, SFTP, SOAP, JDBC, XI, (OFTP 2.0, AS2, X400 - nice to have).
- ESR interface, mapping and process integration objects development including UDF
- Monitoring of IE, AAE, Communication Channels, Java Logs
- XML, XPath, SQL (queries, procedures)
- ABAP understanding
