Sanctions and Screening Senior Specialist

We support one of the biggest international banking brands in establishing a new footprint for the 1st Line Financial Crime Risk & Control organisation in Warsaw.

The Core Sanctions and Screening Controls Team forms part of 1st Line Financial Crime Transformation, Risk & Control function, and is responsible for advising on and ensuring appropriate controls are identified, implemented and maintained to manage the banks evolving financial crime risk landscape.
Main duties:
- Driving the identification and prioritization of sanction and screening control requirements
- Working closely with different business functions to understand their products, services and customers base, which you are expected to target with appropriate controls and processes
- Driving collaboration between Group Compliance, 1st Line Transformation, Risk & Control teams, technology and vendors to ensure that appropriate sanctions and screening processes and controls are defined, implemented and maintained to provide adequate and ongoing risk mitigation
- Supporting operational units to ensure that sanctions and screening requirements and processes for output management are identified and built into solutions to promote an efficient and robust alert investigation process
We are looking for the candidates who:
- Have at least 6 years experience with implementing, enhancing or operating screening solutions and processes
- Have a proven record of financial crime risk identification, risk management, project management or other change initiatives, offering a critical or Subject Matter Expert input
- Have basic understanding of: International Sanctions and/or AML laws and regulations; Financial Crime prevention processes and operational management; The financial markets, banking products and services or model risk management
- Are team players, contributing to an all-inclusive culture in alignment with values
- Have excellent verbal and written English
