Risk Analyst
Supporting business units across the corporation, the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division within SS Corporation establishes and maintains appropriate risk management policies, guidelines and limits, and assists executive and business level management with minimalizing operational, market, credit legal, regulatory and other risks to the company.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintenance of credit exceptions by investigation type of counterparty, its financials and limits adjustments.
Production and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly risk reports including investigation and analysis of exceptions, data integrity and other issues, along with development and implementation of new methodologies into existing tools.
Development and maintenance of close working relationship with Risk Management and other internal areas and being able to raise, investigate and follow-up on issues related to data quality.
Ensure maintenance and integrity of internal risk data and systems.
Persistent desire to develop knowledge, through training and initiative of market, credit risk management metrics and financial markets, in order to enhance analytical abilities, relationships and add-value to the organization.
Assist in creating and maintaining risk management procedures.
Assist in departmental ad-hoc projects.
Required:
Derivatives (Futures & Options) knowledge.- desirable
1- 3 years of experience within the financial services industry
University degree in the field of finance, computer science, data management or other technical field.
Excellent analytical & communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA will an asset).
SQL Knowledge will be an asset.
Solid working knowledge of English and strong communications and interpersonal skills – team player.
Ability to work with little supervision, self-driven personality in multiple tasks
