We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

 

RIG Manager

Kraków

 

Key Accountabilities:

Support the Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Regional Chief Data Officer (CDO) to discharge his or her FIM responsibilities, by providing subject matter expertise on all aspects of records and information governance policy, standards and best practice.

Set priorities, communicate global initiatives, implement reporting matrices and give voice to regional issues and innovations to inform and influence global policy and approaches and ensure that they are in the best interests of the Group.

Mentor in-country Records & Information Policy Support Managers (RIPSM) via the Records Management Accreditation Programme.

Engage all Country CDOs, COOs and CCOs within the region, and manage stakeholders in various regional functions such as Legal, Compliance, IT and Risk.

Act as Relationship Manager to assigned Business/Function Group Records Officers (GRO)

Act as Subject Matter Expert supporting Regional and Country Chief Data Officers (CDOs) and drive records and data retention initiatives

Support 2nd line of defense reviews for records and data retention risk and remediation activities

Secure senior country and regional sponsorship for RIG initiatives and support compliance to RIG policies in every country in the region including supporting appointment of in-country RIPSMs.

Act as Relationship Manager to assigned Group Business/Function Officers, being the primary point of contact for dissemination of RIG policy, communications, reporting of global issues or requests for RIG subject matter expertise relating to the global business or function.

Deliver the Records Management Accreditation Programme to RIPSMs and provide ongoing subject matter expertise to ensure they have the appropriate understanding of RIG policies and procedures, enabling them to support the appointed business/function coordinators.

Deliver effective records and information governance consulting, including participating in projects as and when required, whether at a country/region, cross-business or functional level

Act as second line of defense for RIG policy set: maintain oversight of records risk management activity, including compliance with policy, by monitoring key indicators and assuring the work of the first line of defense. Includes supporting business and functions in addressing medium, high and very high risks, issues, BRCM, RCMAT and Internal Audit points.

Identify cost saving through efficient records management in the reduction of both physical and electronic records and data

Provide advice to stakeholders on RIG policy implementation, compliance, priorities, challenges, audit issues and initiatives.

Provide regular regional and GRO reporting to provide oversight of the compliance to RIG policies. Highlight risks/issues and off track progress to mitigation plans in a timely manner.

Keep regional CDOs, COOs, CCOs, stakeholders, GROs informed of global RIG initiatives and escalate any local resourcing and compliance issues.

Oversee the effective engagement of all our Client employees in education about RIG policy, good practices and responsibilities.

Mentor and support RIPSMs in completion of the Records Management Accreditation Programme.

Engage country CDOs, COOs and CCOs, stakeholders and liaisons to ensure alignment in priorities

Work in cooperation with country/region CDOs, CEOs, COOs and CCOs to influence compliance to RIG policies and alignment with global standards.

Work across the Group Data services function providing input to programmes and projects as and when required.

Collaboration with colleagues across the range of CIO services, where appropriate.

Ensure effective tracking and reporting of compliance by undertaking RIG second line of defense activities.

Monitor outcomes of audits and other risk assessments to understand the strengths and weaknesses of people, process and technology, with the view to enhance records management controls and policy set globally as part of a continuous improvement programme.

 

Requirements:

Education: MBA/MCOM/CA/ICWA or equivalent

Must have a minimum of 2-5 years records management experience and data governance, with ability to demonstrate successful leadership of complex projects. Embedding records management processes is preferred although not essential.

Possesses strong communication and influencing skills.

Independent, entrepreneurial and proactive.

Experience managing diverse teams across multiple geographies
