THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Antwerpen Belgium.
The company is a young biotech company specializing in the development of therapies for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Research Associate will be responsible for the processing of patient samples and the performance of immunological and molecular tests. In addition, you will provide input on the implementation, optimization and validation of new methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- perform varying routine and specialized laboratory tests, specimen preparations and experimental procedures
- assay development and troubleshooting
- monitor immune responses using analytical techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, and CTL assay
- coordinate patient sample receipt
- biobanking of immune cells derived from clinical patient material
- participate in the maintenance of equipment and lab areas
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Laboratory Techniques/Master in Biomedical Sciences or a related field
- at least two years of relevant laboratory experience, either in academy or industry
- technical expertise in application of biochemical/cell biological techniques, i.e. flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot etc.
- knowledge and working experience of GLP/GMP is a strong plus
