As a Manager of Financial Control and Reporting within Investment Banking, you will be the person dealing with Key Stakeholders, including CFOs in London and prominent people within the organization. You will be managing the team both onshore and offshore, ensuring its effectiveness while working very closely with the business.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the balance sheet analytical review that will include targeted disclosures, linked with commercial analytics and strategy to gain an understanding of key macro-economic drivers.
- Being the derivative expert
- Presenting the franchise balance sheet and disclosures on a quarterly basis to the Chief Accountants Department and franchise Finance Director in London
- Rolling out new reporting requirements that impact the franchise
- Developing reporting requirements across the business
- Supporting the review of all statutory financial and supplemental data within Financial Control
- Driving the development of an effective financial control environment for the bank
- Ensuring your team produce, review and maintain control of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring your team is SOX compliant, supporting SOX testing and sign off for all Financial Control owned deliverables
Candidate requirements:
- You will be a seasoned Finance professional holding CIMA, ACCA or CFA qualification
- Excellent financial controls knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP as well as Investment Banking products
- Strong understanding of Finance operations and processes
- Experience of managing cross-locational teams
- The ability to proactively work with and influence senior stakeholders within Finance and across the wider bank
