For our Client, IT software company which opens new office in Katowice, we are looking for Regional Engineering Lead.
Your new role
Regional Engineering Lead is a regional leadership role with direct reporting line towards Director of Engineering or CTO. The purpose of this role is organizing and leading high-performing regional teams with an aim to deliver business results reflected in quality delivery of products and services. Regional Engineering Lead is responsible for region operations in order to achieve long-term division goals, aligned with the program goals, and ensuring that all teams under- stand division and company priorities. Regional Engineering Lead is also responsible for optimal information flow from HQ to region and vice versa. Regional Engineering Lead is also held accountable for having the right organization, processes and systems in place to deliver value to business on time. Teams are optimally organized, productive work environment is created, and good practices are employed. Regional Engineering Lead continually identifies main delivery constraints and finds solutions for them in sync with Division Engineering Lead. Regional Engineering Lead is responsible for talent management of the region to ensure regional scaling and growth. Regional Engineering Lead drives recruitment plans, is involved in activities of attracting and onboarding new members (especially leaders and seniors) in collaboration with the Academic and IT community in the region and develops and retains talent in the organization (especially leaders). Regional Engineering Lead promotes flexible, team- and goal-oriented culture and ensures effective collaboration between teams, other divisions or departments. Regional Engineering Lead is also involved with site management activities in the region regarding office, equipment and administrative logistics. What you'll need to succeed
In order to be relevant candidate you need to hold a university degree in computer science or related courses and at least 3-5 years of experience in similar role (managerial role in software area). We are looking for candidate with proven technical background and deep understanding of technologies and software development processes and strong technical leadership skills. Experience in building organisations or start up experience will be an assert. Due to work in international environment we require all candidates to know English on very good level. We are looking for decisive and persistent in achieving goals person with very good communication skills.

- Division Leads of divisions present in the region regarding teams contribution to division goals, engineering processes and talent management,
- A-team regarding technical initiatives cascaded to region,
- Program Managers present in the region regarding alignment of program and regional goals
- Regional teams’ delivery (OKRs of region, aligned with business)
- High performing teams (stakeholders’ satisfaction, TDS score)
- Talent acquisition (talent acquisition targets, reduced time-toproductivity for new leaders)
- Talent development (leaders’ performance on review, individual development plans implemented, successors for RL and TL roles defined and developed)
- Talent retention (top performers kept, low performers offboarded) Talent engagement (motivational survey scores, TL satisfaction questionnaire scores) Division operations (scaling/growth plan implemented, virtual teams)
- Delivery process optimization (cycle time, automation, SCRUM practices employed, quality standards met, visible up-to-date platform documentation…)
- Collaboration with primary stakeholders (stakeholders’ feedback review)
- Inspiring working environment (motivational survey factors satisfaction)
