Role Description

Mission of the role:
Key role within a small, agile, flexible R&D team working with external & internal partners
Focused on delivery & implementation

Remote/dispersed organisation, ability to work without direct support.
Operating from diverse locations mainly within Europe

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:
NPD for Liquid products
Delivery of key/strategic liquid projects on time to budget & brief
Project managing internally & at 3rd Party with a "right first time" approach

Main interfaces:
Global focus but with both global and local execution
Working in both an internal Supply Point & external 3rd party environment
PD Milks team interaction (process, knowledge & capability building)
CoE Liquids & CoE Process teams
Operations, Product Sourcing, Cycles & Procurement on a project basis.
Indirect support for local initiatives

Key performance indicators
Liquid NPD and execution
Managing the R&D 3PS & internal SP interface
Building effective internal & external networks & working relations
Ensuring top quality project management,
Implementing a "right first time" environment
Delivering projects on time & to budget
Securing the fundamentals of Quality and Nutritional complianceh a "right first time" approach

Travel requirements
Some travel (work is centred at both Internal manufacturing & 3rd Party sites)
Mainly but not exclusively European

Requirements

Competencies:
Food Science
NPD processes, recipe creation
Milk chemistry & composition
Liquid technology and manufacturing processes
Health & Nutrition
Project Management

Experience:
PD background
Industrial experience
Project management experience
Some team/personnel management experience desirable
Level 8 - min 5 years NPD/Food Technology/Food Processing experience,
Level 9 – min 2 years NPD/Food Technology/Food Processing experience
Specific experience of liquid milk/dairy science/dairy technology is required.
