THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.
This multinational giant has many branches in the Netherlands. For this one, they seek an R&D specialist with international experience and passion for the confectionary business.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As R&D specialist you lead a team of other R&D members and oversee their projects and implementation. This involved an element of travel, so additional foreign languages are considered a strong plus. Your own technical background gives you insight in the taste, feel and smell of confectionary products. Besides this, you have commercial insights and know when something is worth producing! Together with the sales and marketing teams, you align the product creation with what is requested by the market. You're insightful, creative and a natural leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• leading a team of 10 R&D professionals
• cooperating closely with sales and marketing for NPD
• overseeing multiple projects
• aligning long term goals with market needs
• managing EMEA-wide application technology
REQUIREMENTS
• Master in Food Technology or Chemistry
• Experience working as R&D product developer
• leadership experience
• international inclination: willing to travel 20% of the time
• experience with sweets/confectionary is a must
• proven ability to work in a matrix organization
• tech savvy
• fluent Dutch and English, Arabic or French is a plus
