THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Antwerpen Belgium.
This innovative client supplies bakery ingredients, oils and fats to B2B customers in the Food industry. As such, you identify B2B opportunities, know the market and know where to add value to your customers.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Innovator, you manage a team of 10 direct reports. The questions you answer include: what do end customers want? How to translate this to your B2B clients' needs? Which additions can enhance both your clients and the end clients' experience? In close cooperation with sales, marketing and product development, you take ideas and make them into realistic products. You're proactive, strategic and your own R&D experience makes you understand the possibilities and limitations of ingredients. As a leader, mentor and coach, you manage your team to fulfil their best potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinating project teams
• Leading your own direct reports
• Cooperating with local businesses
• Moving pilot products to your customer's shelves
• Following market trends
• Guiding New Product Development
• Sharing responsibility with Sales and Marketing regarding new product launches
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc Food Technology
• 5+ years of R&D Food experience
• leadership experience in managing teams
• fluent Dutch, English, French
• willing to travel through Europe to meet clients
• comfortable in competitive, commercial environments
• creative, driven, communicative personality
