Your new role
For our client we are currently looking for Quantitative Analyst to join team supporting top investment banking clients based in US. Team is mainly focused on primary research and predictive analytics.
The Quantitative Analyst would be particularly responsible for:
- Analysis of large datasets to identify patterns & trends that can be used in development of new tools for internal and external clients
- Testing experimental frameworks for product development
- Data mining using different databases and publicly available sources
- Maintenance and improvements of existing tools on client end
- Support in periodic team reports including preparation of associated charts & tables as well as writing up selected sections
- Responding to various types of client ad-hoc queries
What you'll need to succeed:
- Programming skills in languages like Python, R or VBA
- Previous experience in working with Python packages like SciPy, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels, Pandas or NumPy
- Ability to apply various data science concepts like machine learning, natural language processing or neural networks to build cutting-edge analytical tools
- Familiarity with econometric concepts and statistical software
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with curiosity regarding industry trends and drivers for capital markets
- Interest in financial markets with solid understanding of various asset classes and good grasp of macroeconomic concepts
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with global clients
- Fluent English (both written and spoken) with ability to draft research reports and prepare products documentation
- Openness to constant development of data science concepts, financial markets knowledge and programming skills
