THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
Our client is a large, multinational company specialized in food ingredients for the B2B sector. The production site employs more than 250 people and has a daily turnover in excess of 1 million euros (!)
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The QA Manager ensures a high level of product quality on the production site in North Brabant. He or she will work in a highly advanced production environment which puts an emphasis on quality. The QA Manager will work closely with the Sales and Production departments, and is a member of the Management Team. This is a challenging position with lots of opportunities to expand, especially to Continuous Improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing a team of 3 Quality Officers and indirectly responsible for 2 laboratories (9 FTE).
- Ensuring an optimal quality system that balances quality standards and costs, and reviewing existing quality standards.
- Developing and implementing standards, performance indicators and parameters for the production process.
- Conducting internal audits.
- Handling customer complaints.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant HBO (Bachelor, preferably HAS) or University degree, e.g. Food Science.
- At least 3-5 years of management experience in a food production company.
- Deep understanding of food ingredients. Experience in production, a lab setting and/or R&D is a pre, especially within the B2B sector.
- Experience with SAP R/3 a big plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and English required, good understanding of German and/or Spanish a plus.
- Strong communicator and decision maker.
