Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Gelderland Netherlands.
The company is a family-owned business with a long history. It produces a wide variety of bakery products, both private label as well as A-brands. ROLE DESCRIPTION
As QC Manager, you will be responsible for product quality and food safety within the factory. Your primary mission is to improve awareness for quality within the production environment and update systems and procedures where necessary. This includes following up on audits, complaints and trends in performance. You will work closely together with the QA Manager, who is responsible for suppliers and clients, and you will represent QC in the Management Team. To assist you, you will have a team of 2 people, and you will report to the Operations Director. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of 2 people.
- Maintain and improve the quality system.
- Raise awareness among personnel for quality and hygiene issues.
- Analyse trends to continuously improve quality, food safety and hygiene performance.
- Handle and take measures to reduce complaints.
- Coordinate and follow up on audits, working together with the QA Manager.
- Implement and follow up on SHE policies.
- Represent QC in the Management Team.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Food Quality Management, or a similar degree required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a QA or QC role in a production setting in the food industry.
- Experience with HACCP, BRC and IFS.
- Experience with SHE is a plus.
- Experience with leading teams and/or MT experience is a plus.
- Fluency in Dutch and English required; fluency in German and/or French is a plus.
