Job Description

Due to dynamic development of one of our Clients, an international company we are looking for suitable candidate for the following position:

Responsibilities:

You are interested in gaining knowledge and developing in the Purchasing area in an international work environment, within diverse, cross-cultural teams. You are an energetic, committed and passionate individual who is an excellent problem solver and enjoys cooperation with clients. You possess well developed commercial and communication skills and the resilience to cope with challenges.

Specifically, you will: 

  • Perform bidding processes to obtain products and services in the best balance of quality & price and value for money
  • Provide strategic sourcing support by preparing and launching Requests for Proposals (RFP), analyzing the received proposals, making recommendations for supplier selection and providing support in defining and preparing the contracts with suppliers
  • Conduct market research activities (including RFI) to increase knowledge of available products, services and suppliers on the market
  • Liaise with budget owners to obtain confirmation for renewal or termination of agreements, obtain proposals for continuation and coordinate the renewal or termination process with other business functions like Law and Finance
  • Yearly launch price-update initiatives to suppliers, analyze historical data, define items to be added, kept or removed, obtain and analyze quotes and maintain the results in updated price-lists and electronic catalogues
  • Liaise with the PMI Procurement Centers worldwide to maintain and update local master data regarding regional/global frame contracts to be used
  • Ensure that all commercial information is up to date and correctly reflected in relevant systems such as SAP and eRequistion

Requirements

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement in multinational environment, preferably within a FMCG,  the pharmaceutical or chemical area
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or an eSourcing application would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English both oral and written is required, good knowledge of French would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, can prioritize tasks, work independently and follow deadlines
  • Strong sense of customer orientation
