Project Manager

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
  • The GCIO Service Design and Programme Execution (SDPE) function is looking for a Contract Project Manager in Warsaw to join the global Programme team.
  • The central Programme function is now aligned with the Transformation Services and Relationship Management (TSRM) group within Group Chief Information Office (GCIO) and has recently been re-branded to the Service Design and Programme Execution (SDPE) team.
  • Its remit is to provide Infrastructure Project Management capabilities across GCIO infrastructure, with extensive knowledge of the organization and domain expertise aligned to critical programs. These capabilities are delivered across departmental projects, on behalf of departments who may not have delivery capability or require burst capacity.
  • As part of this this contract the selected candidate will work on a Services and Capabilities Onboarding Program leading global Agile teams (20+ people) delivering the ServiceNow platform.

Team: 20+ devs

  • testers team spread in Warsaw and Pune

The new team member will be a part of the global project managers team of 10+ individuals allocated to projects or programs within different IT areas based on demand, seniority, and areas of experience.

As part of this this contract the selected candidate will work on a Services and Capabilities Onboarding Program leading global Agile delivery teams on the ServiceNow platform. Whereas the SCO program involves 50+ stakeholders directly contributing to the program and the impacted stakeholders are all employees.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The GCIO Service Design and Programme Execution (SDPE) function is looking for a Contract Project Manager in Warsaw to join the global Programme team.
  • The central Programme function is now aligned with the Transformation Services and Relationship Management (TSRM) group within Group Chief Information Office (GCIO) and has recently been re-branded to the Service Design and Programme Execution (SDPE) team.
  • Its remit remains the same and that is to provide "Infrastructure Project Management capabilities across GCIO infrastructure, with extensive knowledge of the organization and domain expertise aligned to critical programs. These capabilities are delivered across departmental projects, on behalf of departments who may not have delivery capability or require burst capacity".
  • For this role, the successful Project Manager will be responsible for providing Project Management expertise for the Service Delivery part of the Services Capability and Onboarding (SCO) program.
  • The Project Manager will have direct control to deliver the agile JIRA backlog specified by SCO.
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Deliver ServiceNow solutions with external integration (where appropriate) to be used by clients to implement their new services as per the defined Service Catalogue
  • Partner with ServiceNow, Service Line and enterprise Strategy & Architecture Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to ensure technical solutions are approved in the correct governance forums utilizing the most appropriate frameworks
  • Partner with the Services, Capabilities and Modernisation Project to ensure every release has formal SIT, regression, UAT & end to end API testing sign-off
  • Coordinate and execute ServiceNow releases to promote solutions to production.
  • The basic tasks expected of the Project Manager are to be skilled in: multiple Project Lifecycles (Waterfall/Agile), adhering to project governance in line with best practices and company defined standards utilizing the most appropriate delivery methodology to get the job done.
  • The role will report into the Head of Programs Warsaw regionally and into the SCO Programme day to day.

SKILLS

MUST
  • Certified and proficient Project Manager with ~10 years of experience (ideally gained in the Financial Services, but not a show stopper for the right candidate)
  • Global experience of delivering complex projects, successfully to completion under Project Management control
  • Agile / DevOps theoretical understanding, reinforced with extensive practical knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral (English)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Self-starter, with a can do attitude who can get things done, potentially with limited supervision from a line perspective but with Programme support
  • Able to work flexibly/globally across time zones as necessary to drive delivery (globally) against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a global team and to aggressive (but realistic) deadlines
  • Have a genuine enthusiasm to get things done whilst adding value and improving quality as progress and learn
