THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in West-Vlaanderen Belgium.
The company is a well-known player in the food industry with the production site in Belgium. With world-wide consumers of their products, the production is one of the most efficient and automated production processes in the Food. Currently my client is looking for an experienced Production Manager who can assure the quality standards and efficiency.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Production Manager is an hands-on manager with excessive experience and knowledge of the food industry. In this role you're directly responsible for leading the shiftmanagers in their daily routine, making sure the production is as efficient as possible and is meeting the high quality standards.
To make sure the production runs as smooth as possible, the company works with the lean standards and the well-knows lean techniques, such as value stream. As a production manager you are responsible for ensuring Lean Manufacturing and bringing the production to an higher level.
In this role you have six shiftmanagers directly reporting to you and together with your team you make sure that you implement the company's strategy in the right way. This means that you have an hands-on mentality and know everything that's happening in production and solve problems when necessary. You have excellent knowledge in how to get the best out of your team and support growth and expansion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you're directly responsible for:
-Leading 6 shiftmanagers, who will be working 3 shifts
-Implementation of the company's strategy
-Encourage expansion and growth within the production
-Making sure the production is brought to an higher level
-Lean Manufacturing
REQUIREMENTS
-Have strong knowledge of the food industry (B2C) with minimum 7 years of experience in the industry
-Experience in Operations Manager, working experience as a Operations- or Production Manager within the Food Industry
-Background in Engineering and/or Food Technology
-Strong people manager with excellent communication skills
-Hands-on mentality with problem solving capabilities
-Proven record of working with Lean
