Role description
Product Manager Beneficials – Biobest Biological Systems
- Is based at the Group Headquarters in Belgium
- Takes responsibility for product portfolio management at group level for beneficial insects and mites
- Coordinates the innovation process following a stage-gate methodology in close interaction with all departments involved (R&D, operations, sales, local teams in various countries)
- Prepares and executes launch / marketing plans to successfully bring innovations to market
- Builds and manages relationships with external collaboration partners
- Maintains regular contact with growers to understand market needs and gather market information
Requirements
- Have a Technical degree or an M.Sc. in Plant Sciences, Bio-engineering or equivalent
- Have at least 3 years of relevant technical or sales experience with biological control, preferably with beneficials
- Demonstrate a good understanding of grower needs in horticulture
- Be passionate about sustainability and innovation
- Be a good listener with strong analytical skills
- Be able to communicate well in writing and orally
- Be willing to take responsibility for certain internal administrative processes
- Be skilled in project management or motivated to acquire the relevant skills.
- Have an ability to inspire and motivate project teams
- Be fluent in English, other languages are a major asset (FR, ES, DE, NL)
- Be prepared to travel on a regular basis
