Procurement Specialist EMEA - New role
I am looking for a candidate with experience in commercial procurement / procurement on a scale larger than local. A person who will support the evaluation of suppliers, sourcing, placing orders, cooperation with people from the projects.

Our client is a company present on six continents. They influence the development of international steel production and foundry processes using new technologies.
Description
- The role covers procurement of materials, equipment and services.
- Gather procurement requirements from internal customers across the AR EMEA sales organisation
- Assist and guide with the preparation of proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions, including pricing
- Present proposal packages to stakeholders for approval
- Compare and evaluate competing offers from suppliers
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Co-operate with project associates to ensure synergy of full project requirements
- Review quality of purchased products and services to ensure that they meet specified standards
- Supplier audits, potentially to include quality inspections
Profile
- Proven experience as a Purchasing/Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with suppliers)
- Solid understanding of supply chain procedures
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and communicate with a wide range of internal and external customers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Highly developed ability to address and resolve issues/concerns
- Detail focus with the ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
- Ability to manage a large number of projects at any one time
