Portfolio Office Lead

Lokalizacja: Kraków, Cracow

We are currently seeking an experienced Portfolio Office Lead, who will provide oversight to portfolio level value-driven governance for Waterfall and Agile product deliveries across organization. The position will play a crucial role in ensuring that all Technology portfolio investments are aligned to strategic business outcomes and meet short/long term business needs and value expectations.

What you will do:

 

Portfolio Value Alignment & Agile Governance

  • Govern portfolio efforts in a Scaled Agile environment
  • Own portfolio planning and prioritisation process working closely with finance, product teams and the Digital Office to ensure investment is provisioned for delivery
  • Oversee the achievement and risk “blockers” related to product deliveries
  • Partner with Delivery Leads to develop and review lean business cases, linking business benefits to technology investment
  • Act as the owner of agile framework and waterfall methodologies, templates and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose

 

Investments for funding and allocation requests

  • Ensure Scaled Agile governance processes and decisions are applied consistently

 

Portfolio Transparency, Metrics, & Risk

  • Oversee the creation and review of key metrics, outcomes, and reporting related to key milestones and objectives
  • Assess and report the health of product deliveries by assessing whether the backlog continues to meet strategic objectives with objectivity, accuracy and transparency
  • Ensure that appropriate stakeholders are engaged in risk identification and mitigation
  • Predict and identify risks/opportunities from interdependencies of product deliveries
  • Support and collaborate with the delivery leadership teams sanctioning investment against the portfolio backlog

 

Team Leadership

  • Recruiting, developing and retaining the Portfolio Office or Programme Office team and carrying out pipeline demand, forecast modelling and analysis of the portfolio, determining resource requirements. • Support the identification/removal of barriers to delivery
  • Promote the pace and energy within the team and leading by example
  • Strong commitment and support for the success of the team and its outcomes
  • Create a climate that encourages cross business/function teamwork, impartiality and objectivity
  • Facilitate the development of coaching skills in others
  • Empower others to recognise success and address underperformance

 

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience setting up Lean Agile Portfolio office
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse leaders
  • Proven experience managing effective governance in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or other agile delivery
  • Experience overseeing Enterprise and large budget initiatives
  • Able to communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong ability to design and implement dashboards; ability to analyse data and present it in a way that tells a story
  • Ability to chair, present credible picture of progress and support Senior Executive Steering meetings
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can handle the unexpected with flexibility
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work with a collaborative approach and build trust with others

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • 5+ years of experience in an agile / scrum environment with a demonstrated appreciation for large enterprise standards
  • Proven track record of managing a cross-functional process or delivery teams in a large Enterprise environment
  • Well versed with Scaled Agile Framework’s Portfolio Management methodology and leading PI planning events
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile/DevOps/Program Mgmt. Lifecycle Methodologies & Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-group
  • Knowledge and experience using Clarity PPM, Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio

Other Requirements:

  • SAFe SPC certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Wealth, Insurance and Financial industry is preferred
  • Position may require some travel between offices to meet with project teams and/or business customers. (Occasional 0-33%)
