Plant Controller (m/f)
The main goal of the Plant Controller is to provide the plant management with reliable information needed to make strategic decisions. The person holding this role will be responsible for both financial reporting, as well as for controlling area. The selected candidate will report directly to the Group CFO and provide business recommendations to improve site performance.

They are operating in every continent delivering specialized products. Currently, they are heavily investing in creating new structures and migration to a new ERP. The company is located in Katowice.
Description
- Responsibility for month-end closing activities and reporting of the financial results
- Prepare financial statements under IFRS, forecasts, balance sheets and cash flows
- Perform operational and financial analyzes and present findings and recommendation to Top Management
- Provide financial evaluation and assistance in the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and business plans
- Analysis of variances vs. Prior Year, Budget and Forecast. Provide meaningful explanation of the variances
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure business operations are in compliance with company policies and best practices
- Act as Business Partner to internal stakeholders (General Manager, Plant Manager, Group Top Managers) to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
- Work in close relationship with all departments (e.g. accounting) to develop and realize annual business plan
- Strong cooperation with external stakeholder e.g. External Auditors during the annual audit
- Look for opportunities to leverage systems, integrate processes and re-engineer structures across the business to achieve cost effective and quality financial accounting practices

- Control financial statement to ensure that financial budget objectives will be met
Profile
- University degree or other professional qualification(s) in a Finance or Accounting
- Min. 7 years of experience in similar financial roles in a growing manufacturing environment
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA or similar will be considered a plus
- Proven management skills - creating finance plans, managing budgets, support development of strategies
- Very strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
- Knowledge of IFRS is a must
- Excellent written and verbal English skills, any other European language is a plus
- Profound IT skills, especially MS Office and ERP Systems.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions based on data

- Independent and goal-oriented working style, ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work and handle pressure,
- Demonstrable skills in communication and relationship-building, , high level of resilience and empathy is needed
