THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Flandre Orientale Belgium.
The company is a large player on the international market when it comes to the production and distribution of chocolate and other cacao-based products. The are foreseeing growth opportunities and are looking on new ways to improve their packaging process.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Packaging Engineer you will be responsible for exploring new ways to improve the packaging process. You will be responsible for initiating and leading new packaging projects. You will also have an autonomous role in which you will be in contact with the marketing department and with external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be focussed on cost reduction by streamlining the packaging process.
- You'll support tests regarding the packaging process and end-user experience.
- You are responsible for external purchasing of packaging materials and will be in contact with external stakeholders.
- You will travel to different locations (mostly in the region Benelux).
- You will report to the Packaging Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc Packaging Engineering or Similar
- At least 3 years of experience as packaging engineer
- Experience in the Food Industry is preferred
- Knowledge of Tops, Autocad and Photoshop
- English Communications
