THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brussel Belgium.
You will be working for one of the largest business-to-business chocolate company in the world. With business units all over Europe (Belgium, France, Spain and Switzerland).
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Packaging Development Engineer, you'll be executing cross-functional packaging projects and develop and execute programs to achieve agreed objectives within the different business units. Aim is to generate cost savings through smarter and optimised packaging solutions, as well as adding value through packaging innovation.
Teamwork and cooperation, conceptual thinking, technical expertise, result orientation and stakeholdermanagement are good skills to have for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concept development, turn idea's into realistic packaging opportunities
- Technical development of primary and secondary packaging together with suppliers
- Line trials and implementation in different business units
- Quality Assurance of first production/launch
- Build on Packaging Innovation funnels
REQUIREMENTS
- MSc. degree in engineering preferably in food- or packaging technical direction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of developing packaging concepts and project management in an industrial environment
- Experience in 2D and 3D visualisation software packages
- Spoken language: English, Dutch and French are assets
- Willing to travel 30%
