Oracle DBA Developer

ADM-ARE (Application Resiliency and Engineering) team is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer/DBA with hands-on experience in development, design and trouble-shooting Oracle database related issues. The responsibilities include working closely with application teams and other Stakeholders in identifying issues related to Oracle database. Must have experience in tuning of database instances. Some experience in backup and recovery of the Oracle database. Responsible for coming up with standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. The candidate will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to. Has a good technical understanding and provides technical support to application development teams when necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools
Manage sharing of resources amongst applications
Understands and has experience with physical and logical database design
Support the application teams where needed
Resolving Oracle databases related issues
Preparing Test Cases, Test Data and performing Root Cause Analysis
Requirements:
3+ years of strong PL/SQL development experience with Oracle databases including Data Warehousing environments
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Proficient in Unix shell scripting, Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
A good knowledge of schema design, archiving and purging of data
Hands on experience and proficiency in Oracle options which includes Partitioning which include Partitioning, Data Guard, Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Management Pack, Oracle Diagnostic Pack, Oracle Tuning Pack and backup and recovery
Be able to provide a strategic database direction for a database system
Good skills in all Oracle tools including Oracle Enterprise Manager
A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources
Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes
A sound knowledge of both database and program code performance tuning
A candidate should possess a sound understanding of the business
A candidate should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers
A desire to become a subject matter expert in their field
