Our client is an international company that manufactures chemical products. Due to its constant growth we are seeking to recruit a promising person for the role of Operations Manager. The person will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for a plant's results.

Description
- Manage the production facility's day-to-day activities including responsibility for safety, quality, manufacturing, maintenance and supply chain
- Develop a continuous improvement approach utilizing lean manufacturing principles
- Interface with supply chain to manage inventory and optimise service
- Propose investments to balance capacity, and/or to improve safety, environment, quality, efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead the team by communicating job expectations, training, initiating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction in all dependant areas
- Set and achieve key performance targets and other key measurements of operational performance
- Maximize productivity by identifying waste and implementing improvements
- Communicate operational results, activities, etc. to management and provide recommendations and plans for ongoing improvements.
- Ensure the levels of raw materials and work in progress are properly controlled and managed through the implementation of best practice Lean
Profile
- University degree in Engineering
- Experience in coordinating, verifying daily operations with manufacturing/production/purchasing and shipping
- Detailed knowledge about Industrial engineering, Kaizen Events, Lean and other Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management
- Team player familiar with goal setting and achievement process
- Excellent trouble shooting problem resolution ability
- Strong leadership and supervisory ability
- Fluency in English
