Responsible for operation management and effective daily leadership and administration of the engineering, ICT and Fabric team with the objective of safety, efficiency, and effective operating, maintaining, and modifying facility systems and equipment in a cost effective manner. The operations manager must ensure the highest level of professionalism, whilst meeting the client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving 100% uptime within a facility. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client’s assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function.

Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client’s assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, and that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
- Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated, and implemented within the contract.
- Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented.
- Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence.
- Working with technical managers, engineering managers, ICT managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
- Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
- Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
- Ensuring customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and those effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
- Provide a learning environment, and appropriate training and development planning.
- Supporting the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings, hosting visits, and support to mobilisation as required on new contracts.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record in a maintenance and engineering supporting critical facilities operations role which has included responsibility for product, culture, people and business growth.
- Proven track record of operating in a management role.
- Dealing with a range of people from junior to senior level including site employees, suppliers and customers.
- Commercial awareness, Business acumen, Internal and external client management.
- Industry knowledge in critical environment and/or engineering environments and one or more of the following: M&E, facilities management, projects, building services.
- Health & Safety experience and qualifications.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex situations.
