Operations Director

Lokalizacja: Warsaw

Our client is an international non-banking financial institution, granting consumer loans.

The Operations Director will be a member of the senior management team and will report directly to the CEO. The holder of the position will have to establish several processes within the company, which most importantly will be credit administration and methodology. The candidate has to ensure the quality of the loan portfolio and will eventually manage some of the processes and exercise control over others.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the development and implementation of internal rules and procedures that are in line with legislation and requirements of the National Bank of Poland, but also support the Company growth and achievement of targets;
  • Hires and trains the employees in credit administration department and is responsible for the operational management of the department;
  • Coordinates and optimizes the activities related to assessing the creditworthiness of customers;
  • Ensures efficient credit risk assessment, ensures the maintenance of a high quality of the internal data base with client data;
  • Establishes and manages relationships with external suppliers of information services for credit risk assessment, including public institutions;
  • Proposes to update the risk control procedures to grant loans;
  • Ensures updating the Company’s scoring patterns;
  • Is responsible for updating internal procedures for measures to combat money laundering and ensures that the Company’s responsible employees are aware of it;
  • Is responsible for portfolio monitoring and applying the procedures for maintaining the good quality of the assets;
  • Establishes procedures and methodologies for managing the Company's outstanding portfolio, including interaction with providers of debt collection services;
  • Ensures the efficient implementation and regular revision of the Company policies in the sphere of data protection.

Key Requirements:

  • University education in the field of Business Administration, Economics or Finance.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of small team management experience in the financial services sector with focus on credit cards and/or consumer financing.
  • Experience in credit administration gained in lending business OR smaller Banks
  • Experience in collection OR fraud prevention nice to have
  • Knowledge of relevant Polish legislation in the financial services sector is a must.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in process optimization and the development of retail financial products.
  • Experience in cooperation with external partners (BIK, ERIF, KRD etc.), management of delayed credits portfolio (collection algorithms, sale of receivables)
  • Knowledge of international trends in the credit card industry and consumer financing is a plus
  • Very good command of English language.
  • Ability to travel abroad.

  • This is a high-stress position involving excellent analytical and communication skills. The candidate balances multiple tasks simultaneously and makes rapid decisions;

  • Plans and meets deadlines. Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of executive management. Hours may be long and irregular;
