Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brussel Belgium.
This client is a B2B giant in the food industry. Their constant growth creates a need to keep in touch with the changing consumer market and focus more on health. In this role, you do just that: you help transform the company from within and drive your colleagues and their products toward a healthier, consumer-friendly direction.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Nutrition is your passion and therefore the food industry has no secrets to you. In order to gather all the information correctly, you are in close contact with colleagues, for example; Marketing, Sales, Quality and Production. As an Nutritionist you are an important sparring partner for product managers and marketers. Both internally and externally, you know how to inspire people from a scientific perspective and to inform about the most important health developments in the market. Finally, you are responsible for converting trends and information to recipes that are innovative and of high quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• You are responsible for collecting the right and most recent information in the area of food trends and health.
• Be responsible for creating a clear vision in the field of health at a strategic level.
• Communicating this vision towards stakeholders both internally and externally
• You make sure your information and insights are put on the agenda
• Adapting and advising on recipes in collaboration with product development
• You speak with R & D specialists at high level and act as a clear point of contact for them
• You provide the scientific foundation for choices in the field of ingredient choice
• You make a valuable contribution to innovation projects
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc or PhD in Nutrition or similar. Other backgrounds cannot be considered for the role!
• 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a food / FMCG environment
• Experience in project management
• Experience in professional communication with stakeholders internally / externally
• Proactive attitude in multidisciplinary teams
• Clear vision of health, trends and developments
• Commercial feeling
