THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brabant Flamand Belgium.
The candy world is driven by innovation, with customers wanting (increasingly healthy) alternatives. Do you know how to change recipes? Can you market the finished product? This confectionary client has production plants all around the world. Their product are well-known A-brands, making it an exciting player in the market to work for.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You find out what the market wants and then you offer this to the consumer. Your degree in Food technology as well as food product development experience have taught you enough to be able to create products from scratch. This will be a quarter of the job.The other three quarters of the job are market mapping and the monitoring of consumer wishes. All your New Product Development is founded in the needs of the market. You create and read fair surveys, take the necessary information form it and filter market trends from temporary changes. In the end, you can transform the candy world with your own creations! This is an individual role, but project management will be a big part of it. You must be tenacious, an independent worker and creative.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• New Product Development
• Communicating innovative ideas with sales, R&D and production plants
• Setting long-term product strategies
• Market mapping of (inter)national developments
• Processing market information and translating it to new products
• Processing market research and marketing reports
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc in Food Science
• 5 years of R&D experience
• 5 years of experience in the Food industry
• commercial experience, market mapping, consumer insights
• Dutch and English
• creative problem-solver, tenacious, persuasive
