Network Engineer

We are looking for a Network Engineer that will be responsible for the design, architecture, planning, roadmap and product life cycle of the Networking Infrastructure of the Company. Will work closely with Cisco and key Partners.

At the moment we are looking for a Network Engineer to join the team at Wroclaw production plant.

Description

• Partner with the networking team to provide operational support for existing network systems
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, load balancers
• Monitor and evaluate network performance, identify bottlenecks, and find ways of improvement, to ensure long-term efficiency of the network
• The ability to partner across organizational domains; serve as subject matter expert amongst technical peers and various levels of leadership
• Define and create processes as needed to support new feature and functionality, enhancements or global solutions
• Define KPIs to measure the business value of network solutions and enhancements deployed
• Actively mentor technical peers within the network discipline to ensure necessary operational SLAs are met and exceeded
• Ability to develop statement of work (SoW) technical requirements in close partnership with business leads and vendors
• Leverage business acumen and technical experience to contribute to the contractual negotiations for telecom data services
• Possess ability to work dynamically, even during high-pressure or production-down situations
• The ability to work and team effectively with clients, management, and vendors in a multi-tiered fast paced environment
• The ability to resolve Incident and Service Request tickets and proactively follow-up with other technical service towers and 3rd party vendor teams for speed to resolution
• Experience working in a previous network engineer role required
• Ability to translate technical recommendations into a visual format for presentation to executive stakeholders, management, and peers
• Up to 20% travel may be required

Profile

• 8+ years proven experience working in a global enterprise network engineer role
• 5+ years supporting telecom systems and protocols - including VoIP, routing and switching, SIP trunks, RTP, SRTP, SBCs, and call center technologies
• Expertise in working with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), CUCM Express, CUBE, and Unity in a highly available environment
• Must have expert knowledge of TCP IP
• Must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the OSI model
• Working experience with layer 2 spanning-tree protocols and open-standards based routing protocols - BGP and OSPF
• WAN experience - activating circuits is a must
• Wireless design experience desired - centralized or distributed wireless controller based architecture
• Proficient using Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint to illustrate conceptual ideas and low-level engineering diagrams
• Experience with SD-WAN preferred
• Experience with Cisco UCCX and cloud PBX preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of IPv6 a plus
• Experience with Public Cloud is a plus
• Experience supporting Citrix load-balancer and Riverbed WAN optimization products or similar technologies a plus
• Proven ability to architect, design, and implement PCI-DSS compliant network solutions a plus
