Your new company
For our client, international building materials supplier, we are looking for a Network Architect
Your new role
As a Network Architect, you will have following responsibilities:
- Design and own Global Network Services (WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi/Security) across all continents
- Design of Future Network Architectures, considering a hybrid Data Center Strategy
- Definition of the target status of Network Services, including all relevant standards
- Development of appropriate Guidelines and support Processes of future Services
- Initiation of projects to implement future Services
- Continuous development of Network Services to ensure “State Of the Art” Service
- Establishing and ensuring professional Provider Management for Third-Level Support
- Communication with the Management to support the decision regarding the Next Generation of Network Services
Requirements:
- Experience in Network Design, with a proven track record of leading architecture in a large global network footprint
- Good Knowledge of IT Data Center Design, Data Security and Data Protection, Cloud and mobile technologies
- Deep experience in LAN, WAN & Wi-Fi design, architecture and strategy in a Cisco environment, including Transport layer at a global scale (250+ sites)
- Team player with a high level of confidence and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders & management to drive standardization and transformations in a complex, global scale organization
- Experienced in managing business and vendor relationships with global network solution providers across the globe
- Cisco certification or strong experience working in a Cisco certified organization (CCNA minimum, CCIE preferred)
- Good understanding of budgets with strong ability to create complex business cases
- Experience of large-scale high-availability LAN & WAN environments (10,000+ users), including Factory/warehouse networking and segmentation, IPS/IDS & network security, automated and self-healing LAN/WLAN environments
