Messaging Systems Engineer (IBM MWQ, Tibco EMS)

There are some key projects that the engineering team and the contractor will be involved in during 2017:
- Engineering and build of updated WMQ/IIB platform
- Migration from legacy MQ platforms to latest build
- Tibco EMS consolidation and upgrade
Key Responsibilities: - Engineering and L3 support of the key CS messaging products, including IBM WMQ, IBM WMB/IIB and Tibco EMS
- Application on-boarding: Assisting applications to adopt the CS messaging products
- Automation and simplification of messaging processes and procedures
- 3+ years’ experience in Systems or Messaging engineering
- Experience with Open Source (AMQP) or Vendor ( IBM, Tibco etc) Messaging systems
- Competence in software development and/or scripting
- Experience with at least one of the OS used within CS (Linux, Solaris or Windows)
- Knowledge of computer networks.TeamCity, Jenkins, SVN)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with JMS, AMQP or reliable multicast messaging solutions
- Experience in low-latency implementations
- Knowledge of the products from the major vendors (for example IBM WebSphereMQ, Tibco EMS, Informatica Ultra Messaging, and open solutions) and evolving products (AMQP, appliance based solutions)
- The group is also responsible for engineering and supporting the firms integration & transformation solutions, hence any exposure to the popular implementations (for example IBM WebSphere Message Broker, Mule ESB, TIBCo BusinessWorks, RedHat FUSE) are extremely advantageous
- Interesting projects focused on new technologies and realized within different client’s sectors (banking, telco, pharma)
