Medical Information Specialist

Our client is a global leader in healthcare and pharmaceutical products, with base in Leiden. The company focuses on the discovery, development, manufacture, and marketing of biologic products to protect people worldwide from immunological diseases.
Role Description
As a Medical Information Specialist you will join the Global MEdical Affairs (GMA) department, which is responsible for providing medical support to the immunology portfolio. Medical support consists in providing medical information, internal and external medical education.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain therapeutic area and product knowledge including knowledge of disease states in gastroenterology, rheumatology and dermatology.
- Build and maintain professional expertise in the field of medical information.
- Contribute to the maintenance of electronic and information management systems (databases, electronic SharePoint, reporting tools) and to the development and update of controlled documentation.
- Answer medical information requests coming; identifying the specific request and its purpose and the degree of urgency, developing the response, either using/updating pre-existing materials or developing new material.
- Recognize Adverse Events (AEs), obtains pertinent data, and accurately transmits in a timely manner any reported adverse event.
- Develop and update standard global medical information materials.
- Assist Medical Affairs Europewith in-depth data searches, development and/or update of materials (e.g. training slides, Q&A documents) and/or providing support to Medical Affairs training events.
- Assists management in improving work- and information flow.
Requirements
- MSc in Immunology or related field.
- For junior role, min. 1 years of experience. For mid-senior role, min. 4 years of experience in a similar function.
- Experience in the immunology field, rheumatology is preferred.
- Excellent level of English.

This role is open to both Junior and Mid-Senior profiles. Responsibilities and salary change accordingly.
This role is currently fully-remote. In a post-pandemic situation, 2-3 days of remote work.
