Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Netherlands.

The company exists of nearly 36,000 people who do their utmost to prevent, treat, cure and stop some of the most serious and complex diseases of our time. They focus their research on five specific therapeutic domains: oncology, neuroscience, infectious diseases & vaccines, immunology and cardiovascular & metabolic diseases.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

For one of our clients we are looking for a candidate who is promoted within immunology. This may be a promotion program aimed at pure immunology, but may also be combined with oncology / tumor biology, microbiology or autoimmune diseases. In this position you will get started as a supervisor, where you will set up and coordinate studies, management of (research) analysts, quality, reporting and data interpretation within various immunological projects. These are all kinds of immunology studies, and mostly in vivo experiments. Thus, only candidates with an Article 9 certificate will be eligible for this position. In vitro studies are also conducted. Thus, you must have thorough knowledge of, among other things, FACS, ELISA, cell culture and molecular activities. It is a function with a fixed employment relationship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be an expert that continuously will update knowledge of products, patient's treatment trends and clinical activities and studies within the therapeutic area and patient`s treatment trends in the region. Next to that you will:

- Develop and maintain a contact network with external stakeholders
- Plan and monitor the Medical Education program for Gastroenterology and Rheumatology in The Netherlands.
- Ensure high quality scientific communication with health care providers on a peer-to-peer basis.
- Through scientific interactions, gain valuable insights into treatment patterns, and scientific activities in the therapeutic area and provide strategic input to
the company Medical Affairs Plan/ business decision-making.
- Co-develop/review marketing materials
- Support the development and implementation of medical and scientific strategies and concepts within the medical affairs plan.
- Be accountable for Medical Affairs evidence generating activities, planning, design and execution.
- Handle investigator initiated study proposals and grant requests.
- Prepare and participate in investigator meetings, recruitment follow-up and study result presentations.
- Organize and participate in Advisory Boards and Symposiums and coordinate conference attendees.
- Participate in national and international meetings and conferences and in-house events.

REQUIREMENTS

- PhD in Immunology (combined with oncology or microbiology)
- Expertise within immunology and knowledge of the immune response in models (vivo as vitro)
- Experience in the field of Rheumatology and/or Gastroenterology is an asset.
- Possession of Article 9 WOD
- Experience with working in a GLP environment
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Work experience as MD and/or Medical Advisor with proven scientific and business acumen and communication skills
