As a Data Engineer, you will be working with our Business Intelligence Team to maintain and develop the data warehouse. You will be responsible to build scripts, tools, infrastructure, frameworks, and services to ensure the data warehouse captures data in a comprehensive and timely manner and that ongoing improvement, enhancements and changes to the product are reflected in the data warehouse. You will also work with our Business Analysts to add meta-data layers to improve and enhance reporting and analytics practices.

You’ll be working as a member of the Professional Services team and provide expert knowledge with data governance, master data management and the use, installation, and integration of Pitney Bowes Software products.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide the application of expert knowledge with regard to the use, installation, and integration of PB Software products
- Interact with clients on projects to deliver i nnovative solutio ns to diverse customer problems
- Assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge of the technologies and products necessary to t he completion of assigned tasks
- Provide effort estimation, solution definition and design support for Pitney Bowes Software Professional Services opportunities
Required skills:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience with one of the following: Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Architecture, Master Data Management or Extract Transform Load (ETL)
- Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMs)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate with clients and non-technical personnel
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills for documentation, specifications, and client meetings
- Must be able to travel
- Nice to have programming knowledge (e.g. JAVA, .NET, Web development)
- Nice to have experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
