Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Antwerpen Belgium.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Materials Planner will be responsible for the co-ordination and initiating all activities relating to the planning and procurement of (raw)materials and components. For example converting the output for the MPS (Master Production Schedule) and the DS (Detailed Schedule) into materials requirements to ensure the right quantity of components to be available for production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Materials Planner you will be responsible for the maintenance, develpment, communication and publication of the MRP (Materials Requirement Plans) to make sure that patient requirements are met. Maintain Raw Materials and Components inventories within our goal, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials. Contribute to the global balancing of Materials and Components within Global Planning, ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability and cost.
- Liaises with the suppliers to clarify potential plan constraints and interfaces between supplier and the key internal stakeholders to ensure issue resolution.
- In partnership with Source, track and report site / platform level supplier service performance, communicating the information to the relevant parties.
- Executes potential deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes, rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible.
- Liaises with warehouse staff to understand and adhere to space constraints, managing inventory levels within agreed targets.
- Effectively partner with all internal and external business partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc in Supply Chain or other Business related areas.
- Supply Chain Certification is desirable e.g. APICS.
- Lean Certification is a plus.
- Supply Chain experience such as Logistics, Planning or Manufacturing is desired.
- Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment.
- A Pharmaceutical or Biotech background is desired.
- Experience with SAP would be a plus.
