Manufacturing Engineer for North America Project
Manufacturing Engineer for North America Project
For our Client – an international automotive company, we are looking for the best Candidate for the position Manufacturing Engineer.
Scope of duties:
- Schedule, plan and prioritize projects acc. to customer timing.
- Define manufacturing process specifications and requirements.
- Initiate and/or perform process analysis (e.g., PFMEA, Design for Manufacture/Assembly).
- Coordinate and implement process development projects.
- Maintain engineering documentation (e.g., Process flow diagrams).
- Participate in simultaneous engineering and design for manufacturing.
- Coordinate MSD & PFMEA workshops.
- Define equipment specification to ensure operational availability and quality.
- Develop & implement new technologies to the manufacturing process.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to all aspects of the process manufacturing equipment ensuring quality, safety, capacity and high value added operations.
- Cooperate with plant ME during equipment implementation process
- Perform all necessary studies to assure compatibility of process capability with design requirements.
- Utilize the Bill of Process (BOP) and other proper manufacturing processes and assembly methods
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree (mechanical background preferred).
- Plant industrialization experience including process design and validation.
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles for machine design.
- Fluent in English. Ability to speak additional language(s) will be an asset.
- Experience in Process analytical tools (PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, MSA, etc.).
- GD&T standard experience.
- High volume production work experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, ISO/TS 16949.
- Ability to work as a member of a larger team.
- Highly efficient problem solver.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work early or late schedule as well as for business trips to US or Mexico (up to 60% per year).
