Your new company
A privately owned International business who specialise in the development and production of digital display systems technology. An extremely dynamic and successful business that is developing a new production plant in Poland due to growth. This greenfield start up project aims to employ 250 FTE within 2/3 years from the start of production and is seeking a Managing Director to lead this operation in Poland.
Your new role
As Managing Director (Poland), reporting directly to the Board (Germany), this individual has overall strategic, operational and P&L responsibility for the plant in Poland, as well as being a crucial member of the leadership team within the business.
Core responsibilities will include development of on-site strategies for production, supply chain and logistics; definition of new processes and operational measures in line with the Global company strategy; full responsibility for costs, budgets and compliance with legal provisions; implementing structures and functions to ensure successful operations; personnel planning and organisation to guarantee smooth production processes according to costs, timelines and quality criteria; and leading, motivating and developing circa 250 employees on-site.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is seeking an experienced leader with a proven background in creating and driving forward initiatives within a startup production site. This individual will be a hands on, cost-focused manager with experience of optimising processes within a technical operational site.
The successful candidate will have graduated in industrial engineering or similar with a strong commercial background and have a proven track record of managing a production site and of supply chain management. Experience in process improvement, quality management, purchasing and logistics is essential, as well as experience in P&L accountability and fluency in English and Polish.Leadership experience, ideally in complex matrix organisations and experience with ERP-Systems is highly desirable.
The successful incumbent will be a solutions orientated individual with a good understanding of lean processes. The ideal profile will be that of an experienced Manager/Director from within a mid-sized firm, however those with experience of leading a smaller entity from within a larger organisation will also be considered. Aproven background of leading a start up production site is essential.
