We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

 

Manager - Regulatory Developments, Risk Assessment (German or French or Spanish)

Location: Cracow

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for data standards and the proactive engagement with countries and regions regarding improvements

Support production of management information used by the Global and European Regulatory Development teams

Regulatory Engagement: delivering proactive and more consistent management and oversight of regulator relationships globally

Regulatory Development: identification and oversight of material RC and FCC regulatory developments, supporting the Group to address regulatory change

Policy Governance: implementing and managing the infrastructure to support the development and maintenance (including dispensations from) RC and FCC policy (and associated documents) in the Group’s Global Standards Manual and RC and FCC owned FIM

Provide technical analysis and associated ad-hoc support across a range of EU and non-EU legislative be and regulatory change

Support the Global and European Regulatory Developments team in the delivery of its annual plan.

Support the development of policies, procedures and guidance as required. Work with others to ensure that these are embedded on a consistent basis.

Ensure that all operational controls, MI and optimisation of the service in line with the Performance Level Agreement are driven effectively and to time

Support members of the European functions in ensuring timely analysis of EU and non-EU related developments

Develop and maintain constructive relationships with relevant stakeholders

Ensure all management and development of the team is given a high priority, with regular one to one’s. Attrition is kept to low levels, within the norm and that all controls are effective. Staff are motivated, coached and supported

Ensure appropriate analysis, reporting and dissemination of relevant regulatory developments to allow an overall view of the Group’s exposures to material regulatory change

 

Qualifications:

At least one other European language (GERMAN, FRENCH, SPANISH), as well as a high standard of English highly desirable.

Knowledge of financial services gained by working in a legal or compliance function in bank, trade body, government department, regulator or Parliament.

Excellent written and analytical skills and a willingness to challenge assessments and conclusions of potentially more senior colleagues.

Prior experience working in regulatory or legal developments, ideally around the retail, consumer protection, data, cyber agendas. Broad knowledge of regulatory risks and industry good practices, especially in the context of the EU regulatory /development agenda.

Degree or higher degree, related professional experience (Legal qualifications may be advantageous but are not essential.)
