For our client, an international retail company, we are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate interested in position of Management Accountant.
Candidate on this position will be responsible for maintaining accounting records for Polish entity under local GAAP and for group reporting purposes, reconciling the Polish GAAP ledger to the group ledger, completing balance sheet reconciliations and also for investigating and preparing narrative explaining variances to budget and prior year for key expense categories and preparing the annual financial statements in accordance with Polish GAAP. Moreover, Management Accountant will be a key contact for the auditors during the audit process, will prepare and submit the monthly Intrastat and VAT returns as well as annual tax return in accordance with local requirements and provide hands on support if required to the Accounts Payable, Revenue and Treasury teams. The person will have to present the willingness to stay ahead of the latest reporting, compliance and accounting standard changes in Poland as well as to identify opportunities to continuously improve financial systems and processes and implement these changes. The person will report to accounting manager in the UK.
We are looking for qualified accountant with up to 3 years post-qualified experience working in a large company with excellent English, numeracy and IT skills including advanced Excel. Group reporting experience would be an additional advantage. Perfect candidate should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a desired to drive improvements in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial business as well as able to thrive in a dynamic work environment and juggle competing priorities.
Location: Mokotów
The Management Accountant will be the first and the only one person in accounting area in the Polish office. The candidate will be the first point of contact in case of all accounting issues regarding Polish entity.
