HRK S.A. for a well-known IT company is looking for a candidate for the position:
Managed Services System Engineer Miejsce pracy: Katowice
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Management of all tickets submitted by the 24/7 hotline team.
- Follow-up analysis of any incident and the action plan provided by the support team, when required.
- Application of action plans created in agreement with the project manager and the customer.
- Provide incident reports.
- Reviewing system health reports.
- Managed Services related tasks (according to the specific contract)
- Day-by-day operation management, tuning the system and taking actions proactively to prevent issues
- Complete Applications Management (patch/analysis/tuning)
- SLA periodic report generation
- Continuous improvement of the monitoring system
- Routine checks for custom critical editorial workflows
- Application logs analysis
- Attending the periodic technical committee with the customer
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Computer Engineering, Computer Science degree or related field
- Deep knowledge of UNIX / LINUX operating syste,s.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl)
- Knowledgeable with high availability systems
- Experience in using virtualization platforms (VMWare, XEN, etc.)
- Experience in managing systems in complex cloud environments (AWS, GCP, MS Azure, … )
- Familiarity with storage systems
- Good knowledge of web and application servers (Tomcat, Tomee)
- English - very good
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems and to perform log analysis
- Reliability and accountability
