Role Description

The main responsibility of this job is to organise export transportation and export documentation. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and supervising transport operations. Based on sales and production orders, you will organise the timely supply of products to customers or suppliers. You will report to the Warehouse and Logistics Providers (3PL) Coordinator.

Responsibilities

- Counterpart for the Riga and Asian Customer Service Teams for overseas shipments.
- Responsible for the booking of transportation, except bulk and overseas shipments, at forwarders for BoZ.
- Control about the booking details & first and final check Bill of Lading.
- Communication about final pick up and expected arrival date at port to Riga and Asian Customer Service Teams.
- Fine tuning of planning with forwarders, internal logistics, planning and warehouse service provider BoZ for overseas shipments.
- Registration at customs for shipment of export orders. Registration of excise duties.
- Prepare shipping documents and determine form of shipment, supervise freight charges and prepare customs declarations.
- Handling "Gelangensbestätigung“ for all shipments from BoZ
- Continually improve the processing of all shipments.
- Complete final export package and send to customer / financial institutions.
- Creation of Commercial Documents for samples.
- Monthly monitoring performance overseas forwarder with Warehouse and Logistics Providers Coordinator.
- Monthly customs reporting and support customs request (closing of MRN numbers).

Requirements

- MBO-4 or BSc level of education, and an understanding of logistics
- 5 years’ relevant work experience in a similar position.
- Pro-active with the ability to anticipate problems and solve them right at the onset.
- Motivated and self-organized with a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude, quick-learner.
- Capable to work autonomously and able to work respectfully and in good cooperation with others.
- Flexible, adjust readily to new situations while effectively dealing with uncertainty and possible situational stress. Ability to handle a lot of pressure.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbal and written. Good knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
