Currently, we are looking for Candidates interested in the position of Logistics Order Handler to join our Client’s global service center in GdaĹ„sk. Our Client is a global leader in the offshore and marine industry.
The person holding this position will be responsible for the order execution of our spare part orders shipped from our outsourced warehouses in Germany, Taiwan and Shanghai. He or she will create the Picking List and to instruct warehouse to use right packing material for chosen transport mode, monitor the inbound deliveries in case of consolidation of stock items with parts purchased to order and choose the right transport mode and forwarder for Air, Road, Parcel Service, Courier, Sea shipments for given destination (under consideration of possible Dangerous Goods, oversized cargo, given urgency and economy aspects). Another key tasks will include creating the Transport Order to follow up the transport, issuing all needed transport documents incl. customs treatment, if applicable and finding best possible transport solution, sending inquiries to forwarders and to calculating freight charges, as well as warehouse/logistics activities based on SAP process lists.
We are looking for Candidates with minimum 1 year of experience on similar positions within logistics (transportation, warehousing, custom brokerage services, etc.), preferably Ships Spares Logistics and a graduate with a commercial degree. To succeed in this role you will need to be team-oriented and have excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. Additionally, we require fluent command of English, German would be a plus. Experience using EPR systems, such as SAP will be a valuable asset.
