Opis stanowiska pracy
TRS, a legal and regulatory consultancy focused on the international gambling and gaming sector is seeking a dynamic, intelligent and capable individual. The successful candidate will support existing client work, new product development and generally support a growing business. The ideal candidate will take a strong interest in European and international law, politics and economics.
The role is offered on a full-time and fully-remote working basis. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyse legal changes and regulatory developments, specifically drafting reports regarding specific jurisdictions or topics.
- Specialise in topic and geographic areas and develop expertise in these areas while maintaining broad regulatory and industry knowledge and awareness.
- Develop specific expertise in responsible gambling initatives and best practice.
- Support licence applications and liaise with local consultants and lawyers, as appropriate.
- Draft and maintain compliance policies for TRS’s clients.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the business, for example, preparing new business & project proposals and business intelligence research.
- Form part of a growing team of international regulatory & compliance experts.
- Develop relationships with private practice lawyers, in-house lawyers and industry groups.
- Attend conferences (currently e-conferences/webinars) concerning the gambling and gaming industry and other disruptive sectors.
Required experience and qualifications
- Qualified lawyers or those who are not qualified but have legal education (Masters and beyond) are able to apply.
- At least 1 year of professional experience (in a legal or research role) is required.
- As an internationally orientated business, fluency in at least one language other than English is a key attribute for the role.
- Advanced English writing skills.
- Ability to classify and process large amounts of information.
- Ability to solve complex problems using strong interpretive skills.
- Excellence in legal research across different subjects and, ideally, different geographies.
- Experience in EU law, regulatory law or international law is preferred; however, applicants with other legal experience are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants with experience of working within a legal/regulatory/compliance team are preferred.
