Client's Intellectual Property platform provides a secure, web-based portal combined with smart services that supports companies in managing their intellectual assets, innovation and technical development as well as centrally managing all published patents worldwide – from the published individual patents to setting up search alerts, sharing, commenting, monitoring, collaborating and much more.
Your Job:
- Developing the technology strategy. Anticipating and reacting to major technology changes by recommending the right technologies for the company needs to stay state-of-the-art.
- Generating new products together with product owners and facilitating their entry to market. Providing direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration.
- Managing a team of 5-8 Software Engineers with agile methodologies through development, testing and implementation stages. Technology stack: PHP Symphony, MongoDB, MySQL, Ruby, JavaScript, React.
- Building, leading and motivating your team. Acting as a technical mentor and providing technical training. Conducting performance reviews and helping your team to grow.
- Taking responsibility for project planning and resource management. Providing an efficient working environment ensuring standard operating procedures and project guidelines.
- Monitoring KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance. Estimating project budgets, coordinating funding and planning for purchasing of equipment and hardware.
- Building quality assurance and data protection processes. Supervising software testing, information systems security and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements. Experience with web application development, API development and implementing micro-service based deployments.
- Good knowledge of different programming languages, particularly in PHP; at least 3 years + hands on coding in PHP, framework Symphony
- At least 3 years experiences in MongoDB and MySQL
- Experience in leading a team using Scrum, ideally Scrum master experience
- Proficient in handling complex technical development projects, including managing testing and production deployment phases.
- Proven experience in a leadership role in a fast growing company
- Ability to think ahead and great interest in latest software tools and technologies
- Problem solving mindset
- Ability to work well in a team, excellent communication skills
