Do you enjoy creating the fundament for the optimal automation solutions in a production
environment? And would you like to leave your mark on production technologies that could
potentially revolutionise the way we produce stone wool products?
We are looking for a Lead Architect within OT&IT. As we are developing many automation solutions
and will be combining them on one factory - the data need to flow efficiently and we need to build
the OT&IT architecture behind. As Lead Architect you will be driving this construction in close
coordination with Group Digital plus Group Technology and you will act as coordinator to all the
projects in the Factory of the Future portfolio; team.

Your technical background and experience will be relevant in driving the activities and in finding
possible solutions. We work with proof of concepts, development of pilots, implementation
strategies, roll-outs, test and operation of OT&IT Solutions for the ROCKWOOL Group. In this role there will be focus on the classical Lead Architect content and also on newer topics such as: Low
code, IoT, Unified Namespace and Microservices in Manufacturing. The Factory of the Future team
will form the basis of OT&T Strategies and Architectures to benefit the ROCKWOOL Group. We work in projects and base our solutions on a deep understanding of our production processes – and if standard components are not available, we develop our own.
Doing so, you will collaborate closely with a broad range of colleagues – from our lab to production
sites across the Globe. Therefore, you can expect to travel approx. 60 days a year, mostly being on-
site on the factory for meetings and testing.
You will join our “Factory of the Future” team of specialists within Group R&D. We are a team of
passionate, skilled and knowledgeable colleagues who develop; implement the newest technologies for stone wool production. The “Factory of the Future” team is recently established with the aim of upgrading our production facilities with best in class OT & IT Solutions. Moreover, you can navigate in a project based matrix organisation while using your Project Manager
skills to the limit. To truly make an impact, we imagine that you bring:

  • Degree in Software, Automation, IT, OT or similar
  • 10+ years’ experience as an Automaton and/or software Lead Engineer
  • Proven track record of well-run OT & IT projects in a Global organisation

  • Are self-motivating, self-starting and have excellent planning skills
  • Have leadership and management skills
  • Have intercultural experience and is strong in both written and spoken English
  • Communicate in a clear and direct manner
  • Use your impact to reach the results
