General Ledger Accountant
General Ledger Accountant will be the ERP system expert who has a clear understanding of all accounting entries and their source transactions, presents a strong understanding of business specifics that allow him/her to act as a business partner to internal clients; in particular this person will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing P&L and Balance Sheet for posting errors, adequate accruals and the correct application of accounting rules
- Running Month End Close Reports and loading data to corporate reporting system
- Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
- Acting as first line contact and support to any finance related queries
- Application of corporate policies and procedures as well as statutory and internal control requirements
- Preparing Statutory Financial Statements and Assisting with the annual audit process
- Providing support for country finance teams in special projects
Requirements:
- FLUENT spoken & written English is a must,
- Sound understanding of accounting principles is a must (IFRS preferred)
- Min. 6 years accounting experience (with min 3 years in GL)
- Good MS Excel skills
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and consistency
- Ability to work within tight operational deadlines and priorities
- Analytical skills
- Cooperation skills oriented on result and customer needs
- Knowledge of Maconomy, HFM or other ERP package is an advantage
