We're looking for a Junior Java Developer who will help us with extending and improving our main product - License Statistics.
What is License Statistics?
As the name suggests, License Statistics is about providing our customers with a detailed view of software license usage in their companies. This helps them decrease costs for unused licenses.
For the last few years, we've been working on concurrent data gathering from hundreds of license servers, managing vast amounts of data, and increasing the overall performance of the application. It's going well, but the development process never stops and we are faced with new challenges every day.
How does our development process look like?
Good planning is everything. At this stage, you and your team will be weighing priorities and deciding what the upcoming short and long-term goals are. Once the work is planned you take the wheel! First - pick what you want to work on and think it through. Once you have a good idea of what the task at hand it’s about you start to make it into reality. A few well-placed lines of code, a couple of tests to back it up and you are ready to present your solution. Once it's approved and our CI system verifies that it's OK your work is complete and you have one more thing to be proud of.
At any point, you can count on the cooperation and assistance of your team - be it code review comments or good ol' brainstorming - we are here to help.

Wymagania
What knowledge and skills do we expect from you?
- At least 2 years of education related to computer science/informatics (college or technical school) is required.
- General knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and the way of expressing it through the Java programming language is a must-have.
- We write unit tests for almost everything. The main features also have integration and acceptance tests. That's why you should know how a good test should look like, and how to write it in jUnit.
- You should be able to use Maven to compile the code and package it.
- We use Git as our version control system, so we require knowledge about committing, merging, and conflict resolving.
- A big part of our application is communicating with a relational database. Basics of SQL (selecting, inserting, joining) are necessary.
- You should have the ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
- Commercial experience or any proof of applying the knowledge in practice (personal projects or contributions) is considered a plus.
