Your new company
For our client, international medical products supplier, for their IT department we are looking for a Junior IT Alert Specialist.
Your new role
As a Junior IT Alert Specialist you will join a team working 24/7/365 and monitor, troubleshoot and solve alerts coming from IT infrastructure.
Main responsibilities:
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and solving, if possible, all alerts coming from both internal Infrastructure equipment as well as external IT Suppliers
- Providing internal technical support in English to employees globally
- Handling alerts, incidents and requests with a high degree of professionalism and a high level of quality in close collaboration with other teams
- Acting as point of contact when Major Incidents occur
- Ensuring business continuity
- Ensuring all calls and emails are logged accurately within the ticket system and escalated to relevant teams (if necessary)
- Acting as technical IT support, taking ownership and responsibility of each incident and request to ensure the best customer experience
- Monitoring backup system
- Handling of security incidents
- Delivering high quality support and solutions in compliance with agreed SLA and processes
- Achieving the KPI’s defined for the area, as well as achieving personal KPI's
Requirements:
- Knowledge or experience in IT processes (ITIL/Prince2)
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, software and IT equipment
- Good knowledge of security in IT (incl. security assessment and reporting)
- Good knowledge of virtual machines and Citrix environment
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server platforms including Active Directory
- Knowledge of backup systems and server management
- Microsoft business client applications knowledge: Windows OS, Office
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Ability to work on 3 shifts 24/7 (6:00–14:00; 14:00–22.00; 22:00–6:00)
