Job description
Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for a Junior Engineer and/or Engineer to undertake duties on major construction projects in the property and infrastructure sector.
Cost Management
- Calculations of investment budgets
- Budget management, cost control, achievement of financial objectives
- Preparation of bills of quantities for construction and installation works
- Value engineering of proposed design solutions
- Organisation of tenders, analysis and selection of tender offers
- Negotiation of tender offers with Contractors
- Preparation of monthly financial reports
- Giving opinions on Contractors’ financial claims
- Verification of Contractors’ monthly progress of works
- Negotiation of the Investment’s final account
Project Management
- Project scheduling
- Design process management / coordination
- Managing the process of obtaining necessary formal-legal and administrative decisions
- Managing General Contractor’s tender process and recommendation
- General Contractor’s contract negotiations
- Managing / monitoring the construction process
- Preparation of monthly progress reports
- Managing testing and comissioning process
- Managing the process of handover defects removal
- Preparation of technical due diligence reports, bank monitoring reports etc.
Qualifications
- University degree in construction related engineering (structural, building, electrical, HVAC) or architecture
- Good computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD)
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team
- Good English - spoken and written at CERF level B2 – essential
- Fluent Polish – spoken and writen - essential
- German - spoken and written at CERF level B2 - an advantage
- (non-Polish speakers with B2 level German will also be considered)
- Availability to travel (Poland and/or EU)
- Creativity, commitment, flexibility, enthusiasm
- 3-years or more professional experience for position of engineer.
