For our Client, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, we are looking for JD for Junior Consulting Engineer NMS/OSS
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan,design and implement solution in service provider and enterprise environment
- Service delivery and customization
- Provides consultation to solve NMS product and network problems independently
- Acts as a point of contact for the problem resolution
- Mentor junior developers
- Coordinate with other team members working on the project to solve the customer issues
- Understanding and utilization of Cisco Best practices and internal processes
- Consults with other Teams in Cisco to assist Customers
- Setting up the lab setups to simulate the customer problems and provide the solution to the customer
- Provides product training and create intellectual property material.
Minimum Qualification (mandatory skills)
- Perl, Shell Scripting
- Ability to analyse, configure and troubleshoot NMS products
- Minimum 2 years experience in Network Management domain including, NOC operations, performance management, fault management and NMS product configuration/customization (FCAPS).
- Experience in networking technologies: IP Networking, Data Centre and Cloud technologies
- Experience in SNMP, SYSLOG
- Strong Unix / Linux Skills
- Good foundational skills around TCP/IP & Networking
- Experience working in Virtualized environment (VMware)
- System Integration expertise
- Excellent communication skills, team player, service oriented
- Ability to work with remote teams and different time zones
- Independent and able to plan work according to priorities
- Global business travel upto ~30% of time
Desired Skills
- Python/EEM/XDE-PAL Scripting
- Exposure to Prime SP & Enterprise products like PCM, PI, CPNR, CPNR
- Good understanding of ITIL process for IT service management
- CCNA or CCNP in DC, Routing & Switching
